Rooms
The Castle Inn offers twelve ensuite bedrooms, each named after a different British castle. Rooms such as the Edinburgh room feature a four-poster bed and a nod to local industry with a Rowntrees fruit gum poster. All rooms include a private bathroom with a walk-in shower or claw-foot bath, plus ground coffee and Yorkshire tea.
Dining
The on-site restaurant serves freshly prepared dishes including Sunday roasts, pizzas, and sea bass with nduja and tomatoes. Guests can order from a diverse menu that also offers fish and chips, charcuterie pizza, and honey-glazed baby chorizo starters. The bar area provides a selection of local draught beer, fine wines, and cocktails.
Location
The Castle Inn sits in Spofforth, 6 miles from Harrogate and a short walk from the ruins of Spofforth Castle. Nearby attractions include RHS Harlow Carr, Harewood House, and the Emmerdale set, all within a 15-minute drive. Free private parking and an electric vehicle charging station are available on-site for all guests.
Pet-Friendly Accommodations
The hotel accepts dogs and has specially designed rooms for pets, with a dog-friendly policy that allows guests to bring their animals. Staff are trained to accommodate pets, and the large beer garden with patio furniture offers space for dogs to relax. A dog bed and water bowl can be provided on request.
