The farm has a small holding with pigs, chickens, and sheep that guests can feed and see. Outdoor furniture and bicycle parking are available on-site. Free private parking is provided for each cottage, with easy access off narrow rural roads.

The cottages sit on a quiet street in Bonsall village, a 15-minute walk downhill to The Barley Mow pub. Chatsworth House is 18 km away, and Alton Towers is 37 km away. East Midlands Airport is 52 km from the property.
