Fairlight Lodge in King's Lynn, England

Each of the seven rooms is named after a local landmark, such as Wells-next-the-Sea and Sandringham, and features garden views from either the main house or the modern extension. Rooms come with en suite bathrooms, flat-screen TVs, and a welcome tray that includes homemade biscuits, bottled water, and fresh milk replenished daily. Ground-floor garden rooms offer direct access to the terrace and picnic area, and triple-glazed windows ensure a quiet night's sleep on the main road side.

A cooked-to-order breakfast is served each morning, with options that include full English/Irish, vegetarian, vegan, and gluten-free meals using local ingredients. Guests receive a blackboard listing all breakfast choices, and special dietary needs are accommodated with advance notice, including gluten-free sausages and oat milk kept in a labelled flask. The breakfast also features homemade marmalade, fresh fruit salad, natural yoghurt, and a selection of cereals.

Fairlight Lodge offers private off-road parking for up to five cars, secure cycle storage, and a key safe for late arrivals. The garden is equipped with outdoor furniture, a sun terrace, and a picnic area where guests can relax after a day out. Additional facilities include hypoallergenic bedding in allergy-free rooms, daily housekeeping, and CCTV for security.

The hotel sits a 6-minute walk from Red Mount Chapel and less than 100 metres from The Walks, a tree-lined park that leads directly to King's Lynn town centre in 15 minutes. It is also 2 minutes from the football ground and 6 minutes from the Norfolk Arena, making it a convenient base for sporting events. Nearby attractions include Castle Rising Castle, Sandringham House Museum & Grounds, and Lynn Museum, all within easy driving distance.

Hosts Karl and Jude provide personalised check-in with a map of King's Lynn and recommendations for local restaurants and attractions. The hotel offers flexible event arrangements for group bookings and can accommodate early breakfast rolls for guests leaving before service hours. Rooms are cleaned daily, and extra touches include bathrobes in rooms with external private bathrooms and a flask of fresh milk available in the breakfast room.
