The Feathers is a former coaching inn built from local carrstone in the small Norfolk village of Dersingham. In 1882, the hotel was purchased as part of the Sandringham estate for Albert Edward, Prince of Wales, and now sits only 1 mile (1.6 km) from the Royal Sandringham Estate. The pub grounds also offer free on-site parking and access to a bus stop for Kings Lynn.
Rooms & Accommodation
Each of the 7 real rooms is individually decorated in a simple country house style and includes a TV and tea/coffee making facilities. Room types available are single rooms, double or twin rooms, family rooms (2 adults + 2 children), and a two-bedroom self-contained apartment. All rooms are en suite, and guests have reported comfortable beds and touch-activated bedside lights in some rooms.
Bars & Outdoor Spaces
The main Sandringham bar is pet-friendly, has a large open fire, and leads out onto a patio and two large gardens. The first garden has plenty of seating and a children's play area with a bouncy castle, while the second garden offers a quiet environment for adults. Two additional bars serve the pub, and a separate restaurant room is available for dining.
