Boutique restaurant with rooms in Somerset village
Dining
The restaurant is led by chef Nicholas Balfe, who gained exposure on the Great British Menu. Guests can choose the Chef's Tasting Menu or an à la carte menu with dishes like the signature Westcombe Cheddar Fries. A Chef's Table dinner is also available, allowing diners to watch the kitchen team prepare each course.
Accommodations
The seven rooms are named after trees, such as Elm, Ash, and Juniper, and feature Dulcie toiletries, free-standing baths, and double showers. Each room includes a coffee machine and a home-baked cookie on arrival, with robes provided. Superior rooms offer garden or city views, and some rooms have record players.
Facilities
A landscaped garden with an outdoor fireplace and terrace is available for guests to use. Free parking is offered at the bottom of the garden, which also includes an EV charging point. A shared lounge with a TV area and a roofed outdoor seating area provide spaces to relax beyond the rooms.
Services
Private check-in and check-out are provided, along with a concierge service. An ATM/cash machine is on site, and meeting/banquet facilities can be arranged. Full-day security with CCTV and smoke alarms is in operation throughout the property.
Family & Pets
Family rooms are available, with space for a fold-out bed and a crib upon request. The restaurant offers kids' meals and can adapt the tasting menu for children's dietary needs. Dogs are allowed in certain rooms, and the staff are prepared to help with nervous pets on the stairs.
