AA Rosette restaurant and 700-rose gardens in historic Shropshire hotel
Dining
Hundred House Hotel's AA Rosette kitchen team serves made-from-scratch meals using fresh ingredients from local suppliers and the hotel's own garden. Guests can book themed dinner nights, a cooking class, and a game night menu with dishes like venison meatballs and pear panna cotta. The restaurant also offers a full English breakfast and Sunday lunch options such as blade of beef and chocolate cherry crème brûlée.
Gardens & Grounds
The hotel's on-site gardens contain over 700 varieties of roses, along with herbs and vegetables used directly in the kitchen. Guests can walk through the gardens, meet Pegasus the resident donkey, and speak with the gardener about the plants. The grounds also include a sun terrace, outdoor furniture, and the restored 17th-century Oak Tithe Barn for events.
Rooms
Each room is named after a herb, such as Parsley and Thyme or Fennel and Dill, and includes a swing hanging from oak beams and vintage décor. Superior rooms offer four-poster beds and roll-top baths, with comfortable bedding and spotless cleanliness reported by guests. Pet-friendly accommodations are available with access to outdoor spaces and free on-site parking.
Weddings & Events
The hotel has a restored 17th-century Oak Tithe Barn for wedding ceremonies and receptions, with a team that transitions the space from ceremony to evening quickly. The wedding team including Gemma, Jaydene, Kerry, and Josh provides comprehensive support for event planning and execution. Event spaces also include a private dining room for up to 24 guests and facilities for business conferences and corporate events.
Family & Pets
Family-friendly accommodations include a superior family room with a swing and a children's menu at the restaurant. Pets are welcome with access to outdoor spaces and the gardens, and there is a designated smoking area outside. Cultural events such as themed dinner nights and live entertainment are held regularly, along with a cooking class for guests.
