Family-run historic hotel with large Victorian gardens, 5 minutes from the beach
History & Grounds
Purbeck House Hotel was built in 1875 and retains original architectural features, including grand sitting rooms and a stained glass window on the landing. The hotel sits in extensive Victorian gardens that are rarely found in town-centre properties; a rare Weeping Ash tree stands on the lawn. Guests have spotted wild deer roaming the grounds, and the gardens offer multiple bench tables and a fish pond.

The 18 rooms are split between the main Victorian house and the newly built Louisa Lodge, with some rooms offering sea views or garden views.
