Historic 17th-century Cotswold inn with locally sourced dining
Dining
The Neeld Arms offers a constantly evolving seasonal menu prepared by a team of chefs using locally sourced produce. As a free house, it serves a mix of locally sourced traditional ales, beers, and ciders alongside a broad wine list. The kitchen also provides a children's menu and can accommodate special dietary requests with advance notice.
Rooms
Each of the six bedrooms is individually designed and includes an en suite bathroom with complimentary bath products. The rooms feature classic French twin beds and a coffee machine with fresh milk provided. Free WiFi and modern appliances are available in all accommodations.
Location
The inn is situated in the Cotswold village of Grittleton, within easy reach of Castle Combe motor race track and the historic market town of Chippenham. It lies close to the City of Bath, known for its Roman-era baths and Georgian architecture, and is a short drive from Junction 17 of the M4 motorway. Free private parking is available on-site for guests arriving by car.
Entertainment & Business
A function room is available for business meetings, accommodating up to 35 guests in a relaxed setting. During the winter season, the pub hosts regular quiz nights open to both guests and locals. The property also provides a designated smoking area and outdoor furniture for guest use.
Historical Guests
Princess Margaret Countess of Snowdon and her entourage regularly visited the Neeld Arms, often staying past closing time. This historic 17th-century stone building sits in an area of natural beauty in Wiltshire. The inn has been enjoyed by many over the years, including royal parties escaping London.
