Backpackers hostel in Kensington/Chelsea with free breakfast and dinner
Location
Saint James Backpackers sits in the Kensington/Chelsea area, a 5-minute walk from Earl's Court tube station. Natural History and Science Museums and Hyde Park are a 15-minute walk away. Madame Tussauds, Harrods and Buckingham Palace are within a 15-minute train ride.
Rooms & Facilities
The hostel offers 36 rooms, from 4-bed mixed dorms to standard double rooms with shared bathrooms. Each bed has a locker underneath (bring your own padlock) and a GBP 10-20 cash key deposit is required at check-in. A modern shared kitchen, a garden patio with a free gym, and a communal lounge with an 85-inch UHD TV, cable, Netflix and PS5 are available to all guests.
Dining
A complimentary breakfast is served from 8:00 to 9:45 am and includes freshly made pancakes, eggs, cereals, toast, juices and other items. A free cooked dinner is offered to the first 30 guests who sign up each morning; recent meals have included stir-fried chicken with rice and vegetarian options. Round-the-clock free tea and coffee are also provided.
Entertainment & Activities
Evening entertainment is organised by the hostel's happiness manager and includes karaoke, movie nights, pub crawls, live sport events and table tennis tournaments. A games room offers board games, puzzles, FIFA tournaments on the PS5, and Jenga. Outside, the garden patio has a free gym and picnic area, and guests can use the BBQ facilities.
Safety & Services
The 24-hour front desk is staffed by a team living on site, and the building has CCTV in common areas and outside, plus fire extinguishers and smoke alarms. Daily housekeeping and free luggage storage before check-in are provided; after check-out, bags can be stored for GBP 5 per day. Guests must present a valid photo ID at check-in, and the hostel mascot, Tyson the cat, roams the common areas.
