3-Star Victorian Manor House on 36-Acre Kent Estate
Estate and Grounds
Salomons Estate sits within 36 acres of gardens and woodland, with a carp lake and a fairy trail for children. The Victorian Manor House houses a small museum that details the history of the estate and its founder. Guests can explore the grounds, including a sun terrace, picnic area, and a derelict adventure high ropes playground.
Accommodation
The estate offers 47 AA 3-star ensuite bedrooms in two purpose-built buildings, plus 6 self-catered cottages ranging from 1-bedroom to 5-bedrooms. Cottages have tiled flooring and are dog-friendly, while standard bedrooms do not permit dogs. All rooms include a TV, telephone, hairdryer, and tea and coffee making facilities.
Dining and Breakfast
A buffet-style breakfast with hot and cold options is served in the Manor House's ballroom-style restaurant. Evening meals are not available on-site, but guests receive a list of nearby pubs and can order delivery to eat in the bar area. The breakfast includes a choice of pastries, fruit, and a cooked option, and is included in the room rate.
Family and Pets
Families staying in self-catered cottages benefit from full kitchens, dishwashers, and spacious living areas for longer stays. The estate's grounds offer a fairy trail, carp lake, and ample outdoor space for children to explore. Dogs are permitted only in the cottages and are not allowed in standard accommodation bedrooms.
Events and Business
Salomons Estate is primarily a wedding and conference venue, with multiple ceremony spaces including the Gold Room and a theatre room with a starry ceiling.
