Location
Riverside Accommodation
This ground-floor double room in a bungalow sits directly on the River Thames in Staines-upon-Thames, with garden and lake views from the property. The room opens to a shared living space with a garden, terrace, and outdoor furniture that includes direct river frontage for watching boats and swans pass by. Guests have access to a washing machine, dishwasher, and microwave within the property, along with board games and puzzles for downtime.
Dining
The host prepares authentic Indian cuisine for breakfast, lunch, and dinner at an additional cost, using fresh mint and figs from the garden in chutneys. Vegetarian, vegan, gluten-free, and Asian breakfast options are available, with special diet menus catered on request. Guests can also arrange a traditional Indian cooking demonstration, including Masala Chai preparation, during their stay.
Location
The property is 1 km from Thorpe Park and 7 km from London Heathrow Airport, with Windsor Castle located 12 km away and Legoland Windsor 13 km from the bungalow. A corner store is within walking distance, and the town centre of Staines is reachable by a short drive or a riverside walk. Rafting is available in the surrounding area, and hosts offer transport to local venues at competitive pricing compared to ride-hailing services.
Amenities
Private parking is available on-site, and an electric vehicle charging station is provided for guest use. Bicycle parking is offered, and outdoor seating areas along the river provide spots for meals or drinks. The property has heating throughout, non-smoking rooms, and free WiFi access for all guests.
Services
Pets are accepted at the property, and the riverside garden provides direct access for dog walks along the Thames towards Staines. Laundry services and packed lunches are available on request, with fire extinguishers provided for safety. Guests are asked to remove shoes on arrival and are given slippers, reflective of the property's white carpet interiors.
