Pet-friendly Shepherds Hut on a working airfield in Bath
Amenities
Skylark Shepherds Hut is a non-smoking lodge with free on-site private parking. The property provides a terrace and offers internet access. The hut includes a wood burner and a BBQ grill for outdoor cooking.
Amenities
The accommodation is a Deluxe Double Room with Shower, compact and designed for two guests. Power is supplied by a generator which must be switched on and off manually; there is no mains electricity. A torch is recommended for navigating the dark surroundings at night.
Location
University of Bath is 10 km from the hut; Bath Abbey plus The Roman Baths are both 12 km away. Bristol Airport lies 39 km to the west. A well-stocked farm shop and its kitchen sit directly across the road, and several pubs are within a 10-minute drive.
On-Site Experiences
The hut sits on a working airfield where guests can watch planes take off and land. Because the area is pitch black after dark, the site offers excellent star-gazing opportunities. A footpath a few minutes up the road provides a countryside walk.
Highlights
Location: Secluded airfield setting, 15-min drive from Bath city centre
Rooms: One Deluxe Double Room with Shower, wood burner, BBQ
Experiences: Plane watching from the hut, star-gazing in pitch black
Nearby: Farm shop across the road, pubs 10 min drive
Host: On-site support from host Fiona
