Converted 18th-century farmhouse near Peak District - dog-friendly rooms and wood-fired pizzas
Rooms
Each room offers a super king bed dressed with luxury linen and a private bathroom supplied with White Company toiletries. The Boxer room includes a lounge area with a second television and USB ports on both sides of the bed. Some rooms, such as Old Major, provide direct views of the terrace and the surrounding countryside.
Dining
The restaurant serves lunch and dinner with a menu built around wood-fired pizzas, Josper-cooked premium steaks, and British classics. An exceptional Sunday Roast tradition uses locally sourced ingredients and is served in the main dining room or the garden terrace. The bar stocks a selection of cask ales, spirits, and crafted cocktails, including mojitos made by bartender George.
Events & Weddings
Two dedicated event spaces - The Secret Library and The Folly - host wedding ceremonies and receptions for up to 100 guests. The Folly features an updated outdoor area and a private bar for the wedding party. The hotel also offers conference facilities for business meetings, with on-site catering and audiovisual equipment available.
Pet-Friendly Accommodations
The hotel welcomes dogs in selected rooms, with policies that allow pets to stay overnight in the guest bedrooms. Dogs are also permitted in certain areas of the bar and garden terrace. No extra cleaning fees are charged for well-behaved pets, making it a practical choice for owners traveling with their animals.
