18th-century pub with rooms in the heart of the New Forest
Accommodations
The New Forest Inn offers eight rooms with parquet floors, wardrobes, and work desks. Each room includes a tea and coffee maker, hairdryer, shower, and TV. Superior King Rooms provide a 5-foot bed and big ensuite shower, while Standard Twin Rooms have twin beds. The stairs to the rooms are narrow and steep.
Dining
The inn serves homemade pies such as steak and ale pie and game and root vegetable pie, praised as the best pies by guests. Evening meals include lamb rump, ox cheek, and pan-fried lambs liver. Breakfast offers a full New Forest Breakfast with bacon, sausage, eggs, and gluten-free options are available.
Pet-Friendly
The inn welcomes dogs and provides pet bowls and dog treats in the rooms. Guests with dogs receive a dog biscuit and poo bags upon arrival. Dogs are allowed in public areas and the beer garden, and ponies and cows graze right outside the inn.
