Family-run guesthouse with an original 1658 well on the Ridgeway path
The Well
The Well Guesthouse gets its name from the original well set in the restaurant floor, covered with bulletproof glass. Guests can stand on the glass and look down the 30-metre shaft of this original feature. The inn was originally established in 1658 as a coaching inn on the Ridgeway, Europe's oldest highway.

Pre-arranged dinner is served at 19.00 with a choice of 3 main courses from £18.00, plus sweets and desserts at £8.00. Packed lunches are available at £8.00, sorted on arrival, and breakfast includes homemade cooked options with vegetarian and vegan choices.
