Historic Victorian manor on 24 acres overlooking St Austell Bay
History & Architecture
Trenython Manor Resort was built in 1872 by an Italian architect commissioned by General Garibaldi. The interior includes Egyptian pillars from the Temple of Ephesus, alongside carved oak panels and Italian marbles sent by Garibaldi. Other historic objects displayed are General Wolf's Headboard and Lord Nelson's Sea Chest.
Accommodations & Grounds
Over 30 self-catering cottages and lodges are set within the 24-acre landscaped grounds and ancient woodlands. Each cottage has a fully fitted kitchen, lounge area, and private patio with views of St Austell Bay. Pet-friendly lodges are available upon request, and the woodland play area is open to families.
Dining & Wellness
The resort has two on-site restaurants including Kona, which serves dishes made with local ingredients, and a bar with a private dining room. The spa offers treatments such as body wraps, facials, and massages, plus a sauna, steam room, and indoor swimming pool. A fully equipped gym and fitness centre are also available for guest use.
