Historic Building & Setting
Bearslake Inn is a beautifully preserved 13th-century Devon longhouse with a thatched roof and Grade II listing. The pub sits in its own garden with a stream running through, offering a lawned area with deckchairs and a patio. A secret garden and scenic pub garden provide views of Dartmoor across open farmland.
Dining & Local Produce
The menu features West Country-inspired dishes made with locally sourced produce, including a recommended pinwheel sausages, fish and chips, and a venison burger with truffle chips. Guests can order daily breakfast hampers packed with homemade treats, Devon yogurts, fresh fruits, local juices, and hot bacon baps. The bar serves locally brewed real ales and fine wines, and the chef Tommy has been praised for exceptional food at pub prices.
