5-star Georgian country house hotel with award-winning breakfast in historic Sherborne
Accommodations & Grounds
The Eastbury & Spa occupies an 18th-century Georgian gentleman's residence with individually decorated rooms inspired by local flora. Guests have exclusive use of two lounges, a library, and a snooker room within the main house. Garden rooms offer private outdoor space with seating, a fire pit, and direct access to the walled gardens.
Dining
An award-winning breakfast is served in the Conservatory Restaurant, recognized by the Condé Nast Johansens Awards for Excellence 2023. Seasonal menus incorporate ingredients from the hotel's extensive herb garden. The hotel does not serve evening meals, but local restaurants are within a 5-minute walk, and a private garden pod is available for dining.
Spa & Wellness
The bijou garden spa offers indoor and outdoor facilities, including a hot tub, sauna, steam room, and a range of Gaia product treatments. Massage options include full body, back, couples, foot, hand, head, and neck massages. The spa is booked privately for guests, with access to sun loungers, sun umbrellas, and a fitness room.
Pet-Friendly Amenities
Dogs receive a brand-new bed, a toy, two china bowls, and treats upon arrival. Pets are welcome in the breakfast room, where they are offered their own bowl of sausages. Direct garden access from dog-friendly rooms eliminates the need to walk through the main hotel.
Location & Activities
The hotel is a 10-minute walk from Sherborne Abbey and Sherborne Castle, with free tickets provided for the castle gardens. Nearby attractions include Montacute House and the Jurassic Coast. On-site activities include billiards, table tennis, croquet, and walking tours of the historic town.
