Hotel Endsleigh in Milton Abbot, England

Hotel Endsleigh was built in 1812 as a shooting and fishing lodge for the Duke of Bedford. The gardens were designed by Humphry Repton and include a rockery, rills, waterfalls, and an arboretum with mature trees. Guests can play croquet or giant Jenga on the lawn, or fish for salmon and sea trout on the River Tamar.

The hotel has two restaurants, a bar, and a library where guests can order from an honest bar. Menus are customizable for vegetarian and dietary-specific meals, and food uses locally sourced ingredients. Afternoon tea is served daily in the lounge or on the terrace with views over the Repton gardens.

Each room is individually decorated with antique furnishings and many have original roll-top baths or garden views. The Stable Suites offer separate living areas and are located in the converted stable block. Some rooms have walk-in showers, while others retain deep Victorian baths with overhead showers.
