The Crown Hotel occupies a Grade I listed building constructed in 1585, making it over 400 years old. It was rebuilt by Queen Elizabeth I using timbers from Delamere Forest. The hotel retains original oak beams, wattle and daub walls, and open coal fires.

The hotel offers 18 individually designed en-suite rooms, each with its own character. Some rooms feature roll-top baths and Tudor windows. Due to the building's age, rooms have sloping floors, spiral staircases, and wonky corridors.

The refurbished Bar & Grill serves locally sourced food and hand-pulled real ales. The menu includes options such as steak skewers and full English breakfasts made with local sausages. The hotel also operates a Wine Wednesday promotion where guests receive free top-ups on selected wines during meals.
